America Recycles Day – November 15
Since 1997, November 15 has marked America Recycles Day, the culmination of hundreds of activities and events around the nation created to draw attention to the importance of recycling and buying recycled products. As part of the campaign, people throughout Michigan will participate in various activities and events leading up to America Recycles Day.
Each year Mid Michigan Waste Authority celebrates America Recycles Day with a number of activities. Many of the 35 member communities recognize the importance of recycling and purchasing recycled content products by passing resolutions and proclamations. Residents make a promise to recycle by making a commitment on a pledge card. Everyone who makes a commitment is entered to win great prizes from Mid Michigan Waste Authority and its sponsors.
