The upcoming Fourth of July holiday does impact curbside solid waste collection services provided to some of the 34 Mid Michigan Waste Authority (MMWA) member communities. With the holiday falling on a Tuesday, collection services will be delayed by one day in some communities.

During the holiday week, collection services will be delayed one day for communities with regular pick-up days of Tuesday through Friday. These residents should prepare and set out materials one day later than they normally do during the holiday week. For example, if your regular collection day is Wednesday, place your materials to the curb by 7 am on Thursday.

Residents in communities with Monday service will not be impacted by the holiday.
