Do not place helium tanks, even if they are empty, out with your curbside trash or recycling. Due to safety concerns, they will not be collected. Call the retailer where you purchased your helium tank and inquire about “take-back” and recycling options.
Helium tanks are not accepted through MMWA’s household hazardous waste program.
