The MMWA curbside collection program is not intended as a disposal method for construction/remodeling projects. Bricks, rocks, and chunks of concrete may damage the compacting equipment on a trash truck so they cannot be collected by your trash driver. However, small amounts of properly prepared concrete materials may be collected by the bulk driver.

Other Options

This item can be accepted for curbside bulky waste.

  • The bundle must be no longer than four feet, and cannot weigh more than 50 pounds.
  • It should be securely bundled with duct tape or twine.

MMWA residents are allowed up to two bulk items per week. Bulk items should be placed at the curb, along with other properly prepared materials, no later than 7:00 am on your regular service day. MMWA does not schedule bulk pick-up in advance. The trash driver is responsible for collecting your properly prepared bulk item and getting it scheduled for pick up. If the truck is full, or the driver is not able to collect the item by himself, the driver should be placing an orange (WM communities) or yellow (Priority Waste communities) sticker on the material marking the box that reads item pick up scheduled do NOT remove from the curb. The bulk truck runs 1-2 business days behind the regular trash truck.

If your bulk item does not have an orange (WM communities) or yellow (Priority Waste communities) sticker, please call either on your collection day or within one business day of your collection day. That is our window of time to look into it.
