Residents can set out up to two bulk items on their regularly scheduled collection day. A bulk item is anything not contained in a bag or a can and/or anything that weighs more than 50 pounds. If the trash driver is unable to collect a bulk item due to its weight, size or truck capacity, he should tag the item with an orange sticker marking the box “item pickup scheduled do NOT remove from curb”. For best results, residents should contact the MMWA office with any questions about how to properly prepare their bulk item for collection or with any bulk item related questions. MMWA does not schedule bulk item collection in advance as many items placed curbside for bulk pick up are removed from the curb by scrappers.
