After the very positive response to its first foam recycling drop-off day last May, Mid Michigan Waste Authority is looking forward to providing this service again on Thursday, September 20 from 3 pm to 7 pm.

Accepted items include cups, takeout containers, egg cartons, block packaging, ice chests/coolers, and other #6 foam items. Packing peanuts, construction foam, and dirty foam products cannot be accepted.

MMWA reminds residents that the foam must be clean, dry, and free of debris. Do not bring any items that have food residue, as they will not be accepted.

During the foam event, residents may also bring their confidential paper documents for free, secure on-site shredding. Each household may bring the equivalent of two banker’s boxes.

The event is open to residents of Saginaw County, Bethany Twp, Village of Breckenridge, and Wheeler Township, and will be held at 2063 S Miller Rd, Saginaw.
