To our MMWA residents, we hope you are safe. The severe flooding we are experiencing does have an impact on collection services for residents in many areas within MMWA member communities. Drivers are attempting service where access has not been impacted. In Tittabawassee Twp, due to bridge and road closures, residents west of the river will not be serviced on their regularly scheduled collection day. We do anticipate there will be other areas in multiple communities which are identified as inaccessible due to other road closures, high water and potentially poor road conditions. As with any other weather related event, for areas with impacted service the next attempt will be on your next regularly scheduled collection day.
In addition, due to the extreme flooding, access to our location has been impacted and MMWA’s office will be closed beginning at 3 pm on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. We plan to reopen on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. We will respond to any messages at that time. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Keep in mind, the May 25th Memorial Day holiday will result in a one day delay that week for all MMWA member communities.
