While it looks like the rain originally forecasted for Saturday, June 23 will not be making an appearance, Mid Michigan Waste Authority is reminding residents that all of our household special waste events are held rain or shine, except in the case of extreme weather.

When it does rain, we hope a little precipitation doesn’t keep the public from taking part. Residents remain in their vehicles during the drop-off process, so they do not even need to bring an umbrella! They will stay dry and comfortable while our crews handle the unloading.

In the rare event that storms do force us to close, an announcement will be made on our Facebook page and website.

Visit our Events page for more details about MMWA’s 2018 Household Special Waste program, which runs from May to September.
