The upcoming Thanksgiving holiday will cause a one-day delay in residential collection of recycling, trash, and yard waste for 18 MMWA member communities whose regular collection service day falls on the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 22 or the Friday after the holiday. Residents who normally receive curbside collection services on Thursday or Friday should prepare and set out materials one day later than normal.

Communities with a Monday through Wednesday collection day will not be impacted by the holiday and should put their materials to the curb on their regular service day. Those serviced on Thursday should place their materials out on Friday and those serviced on Friday should place their materials out on Saturday.
