The upcoming Labor Day holiday does impact solid waste collection services provided to the 34 Mid Michigan Waste Authority (MMWA) member communities. There will be no trash, recycling, or yard waste collection provided on Monday, September 2. With the holiday falling on a Monday, collection services will be delayed one day for every member community the week of Labor Day. Residents should prepare and set out materials one day later than they normally do during the holiday week.

The upcoming 4th of July holiday does impact curbside solid waste collection services provided to some of the 34 Mid Michigan Waste Authority (MMWA) member communities. During the holiday week, collection services will be delayed one day for communities with regular pick-up days of Thursday and Friday. These residents should prepare and set out materials one day later than they normally do during the holiday week. Resident in communities with Monday through Wednesday service will not be impacted by the holiday week.

The upcoming Memorial Day holiday does impact solid waste collection services provided to MMWA member communities. There will be no trash, recycling or yard waste collection provided on Monday, May 27, 2019. Collection services will be delayed one day for every community the weeek of Memorial Day. Residents should prepare and set out materials one day later than they normally do during the holiday week. For example, if your normal collection day is Monday, you should pt your materials to the curb on Tuesday.

Unfortunately it’s another Inclement Weather Wednesday in mid-Michigan and that means your trash and recycling collection may be impacted. Waste Management trucks will be on the road attempting service on Wednesday, February 13 but if they encounter areas that are not safe to travel, they will be unable to collect your materials until next week. Please remove your materials from the curb until your next service day. If your trash and/or recycling cannot be collected, we apologize for the inconvenience, but safety is always our top priority. Freezing temps impact service to 11 Mid Michigan Waste Authority communities
SAGINAW, MI – Due to the expected sub-zero temperatures, solid waste collection services will be canceled in 11 mid-Michigan communities on Friday, February 1.
MMWA trash and recycling collection services, operated by Waste Management, will NOT be running in Albee Twp, Bethany Twp, Blumfield Twp, Brady Twp, Village of Breckenridge, James Twp, Maple Grove Twp, Village of St Charles, City of Saginaw, Thomas Twp, and Wheeler Twp. Recycling trucks from the City of Saginaw will also not be collecting on Friday.
Solid waste collection services were also canceled on Wednesday, January 30, and Thursday, January 31, impacting Birch Run Twp, Village of Birch Run, Bridgeport Twp, Buena Vista Twp, Carrollton Twp, Chapin Twp, Chesaning Twp, City of Frankenmuth, Frankenmuth Twp, Richland Twp, City of Saginaw, St Charles Twp, Spaulding Twp, and Tittabawassee Twp.
Communities with canceled trash and recycling services will not have collection service until their next regular collection day. Residents are asked to remove all materials from the curb until their service day next week.
